It’s often hard to put into words what design and build style you like.
Even when clients do know what they like, we all use different language to describe a particular look or element. Antique, vintage, retro, nostalgic, traditional … is it all the same? Modern, contemporary, nouveau, innovative, chic, minimalist … would you know the difference?
At MT Build, when we’re brainstorming or collecting ideas with a client, we find it’s sometimes easiest to start with a scrapbook or mood board. In the old days we would tear pages out of magazines or catalogues. These days we turn to Pinterest or Instagram for our inspiration.
It doesn’t matter to us where you get your ideas from. We love seeing images that inspire.
Our collection of elements we love can be found in our Instagram pages – rooms we adore, structures that fascinate us, colours that calm or excite us. Some of these are from our client work; others are simply items from real life that move or motivate us.
